While in Bratislava I cooked this yummy and easy traditional Slovak dish with Zuzana. Little preparation & then just let it cook…
- Boil rice but keep it bit crunchy, let it cool
- Heat butter in pot & gradually add flour, stir constantly
- Once flour is in, add 100ml hot water, keep stirring to avoid crumbling
- Add paprika powder & add broth, let it slowly heat up
- Mix minced meat with chopped onions, garlic, eggs, marjoram, salt, pepper & cold rice
- Cut bell peppers open at the side which is attached to the plant & clean the seeds
- Fill with meat rice mix
- From the rest form golf ball sized balls and cover in bread crumbs
- Once sauce is boiling, transfer balls & peppers and let it simmer for 30 minutes
- Stir in cinnamon at the end
- Serve with bread
